THE RESURRECTION
Imagine reaching for something you've been anticipating, only to find emptiness where you expected fulfillment. This is the shocking discovery the women made at Jesus' tomb—but their empty-handed moment became the greatest news in human history. Luke 24 takes us to that resurrection morning when faithful women arrived with burial spices, only to encounter angels and an empty tomb. Their story reveals profound truths about seeking God early and consistently, about how our neglect of Scripture costs us dearly, and about the courage required to proclaim truth even when we know it might be rejected. The resurrection stands as one of the five most significant events in all human history, alongside creation, the fall, Christ's birth, and His crucifixion. Without it, as Paul declares in 1 Corinthians 15, our faith is worthless and we remain in our sins. But because the tomb is empty, everything changes. These women became the first gospel preachers, their names forever recorded as heralds of resurrection hope. Their faithfulness challenges us: Are we seeking Christ early in our day, early in our week, early in our troubles? Are we remembering and applying what He has taught us, or are we neglecting His word and paying the price? Most importantly, are we proclaiming the empty tomb to those around us, regardless of whether they accept or reject our message? The resurrection demands a response—and it all begins with seeking.
